Bardonecchia is located west of the Piedmont, at 1312m of altitude, in a sunny valley surrounded by peaks as high as 3500m. This makes it one of the most sought after ski resorts in Italy. The skiing area comprises about a hundred kilometers of piste distributed into three sectors: Jaffreau, Colomion and Melezet, which are linked together by a free shuttle service from Bardonecchia. The pistes are very varied, for all levels, and offer fantastic off-piste skiing. Some of the pistes, the highest with the best snow, are best suited to the advanced skiers, who also benefit from the freedom of off-piste skiing in magnificient snow in the Mount Jafferau. Snowboarding lovers will enjoy the thrill of going down challenging slopes known to be a “surfers” paradise. In addition, in the resort of Bardonecchia visitors can enjoy stylish après-ski: many shops and boutiques, traditional and regional food, cinema, sauna….
